Terraced Landscapes

After breakfast, we went to explore the terraced landscapes such as Tegalalang Rice Terrace. The rice terraces here are one of the most beautiful sights in Indonesia, with layers of rice paddies shining in golden sunlight. We walked along the paths through the rice paddies, stopping occasionally to appreciate the stunning scenery.

In the rice paddies, we met a farmer who was working there. He enthusiastically introduced us to the process of planting and harvesting rice. We even tried our hand at planting rice, albeit somewhat clumsily, but it made us appreciate the hard work that goes into each grain of rice.

Monkey Forest Tour

In the afternoon, we visited the famous Monkey Forest in Ubud. There are hundreds of long-tailed macaques living here, jumping around in the trees and playing with visitors. We bought some fruits that monkeys like and interacted closely with them. The monkeys were very intelligent and jumped onto our shoulders to grab the fruits to eat. We had a great time in the Monkey Forest, and established a strong friendship with these lovely creatures.

In the Monkey Forest, there is an ancient temple with several hundred years of history. The temple is solemn and houses deities from Indonesian mythology. We offered flowers and fruits in the temple, praying for a smooth journey.

Indonesian Street Food Night

For dinner, we chose a local street food stall to taste Indonesian street food. There were various Indonesian delicacies, such as fried bananas, fried tofu, and glutinous rice fritters. Each snack was delightful, and we also tried traditional Indonesian fruit juices, which were rich in flavor and delicious.

After dinner, we returned to the hotel and exchanged travel experiences with other tourists from around the world. Our Ubud trip allowed us to appreciate the beauty of nature and the cuteness of animals. Tomorrow, we will go to Kuta in the south of Bali to experience different landscapes.
