Scuba diving lessons

On the second day in Gili Islands, we decided to take a one-day scuba diving course. We chose the famous Blue Marlin Dive Center, which cost about $150. Here, we learned basic scuba diving techniques such as how to balance and how to use the diving equipment. Of course, my girlfriend also did very well, facing the challenges with confidence, and I was proud of her.

Unexpected Encounter

In the afternoon, we continued scuba diving to explore the beautiful coral reefs and tropical fish. During the dive, we unexpectedly encountered a group of sea turtles. They leisurely swam in the water with us, dancing together as if welcoming us to their home. My girlfriend was very excited and intimately took photos with the turtles, feeling joyful.

Indonesian cuisine night

In the evening, we decided to try a local Indonesian restaurant. Based on TripAdvisor recommendations, we chose Warung Bule restaurant in Gili Dive Village. Their specialty dish is Ayam Betutu (Indonesian spicy grilled chicken), which cost about $5. The chicken was marinated with spices and grilled to perfection, with tender and juicy meat that had a spicy-sweet flavor. We also tasted the Indonesian specialty Javanese coffee, which had a rich flavor and a lingering aftertaste.

Romantic beach stroll

After dinner, we took a moonlit stroll on the beach, listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying the time alone together. Here, I expressed my gratitude and love to her. My girlfriend smiled and responded that this trip to Indonesia was the most beautiful memory of her life, and she looked forward to us traveling the world together in the future.
