Introduction to Auckland

As the plane landed at Auckland Airport, I couldn’t help but feel excited. Looking at the 10-day New Zealand itinerary that my girlfriend and I carefully planned, we were both filled with anticipation. Upon arrival, we took a pre-booked Uber to SKYCITY Grand Hotel in the city center for check-in. The hotel was conveniently located not far from the city center, and the room rate was $250 NZD per night.

Strolling Around Auckland

In the afternoon, we strolled around the city center of Auckland and visited the Sky Tower. This tower, standing at 328 meters, is a landmark of Auckland and the tallest tower in the southern hemisphere. While enjoying the stunning city views from the observation deck, we excitedly discussed our upcoming travels. My girlfriend expressed her happiness in trying various New Zealand cuisines on this trip.

Beginning of a Culinary Journey

For dinner, we chose The Crab Shack restaurant located in the city center and tried some New Zealand specialty dishes, including green-lipped mussels and cheese. While enjoying the food, we also chatted with a local couple who warmly recommended some New Zealand cuisines and attractions to us. This dinner cost us $60 NZD.
